Lemuria

Lemuria was an ancient civilization which existed prior to and during the time of Atlantis. There is some disagreement about where it was located, what the inhabitants looked like, etc., but most seem to put it as a continent in the Pacific ocean. Physically, it is believed that Lemuria existed largely in the Southern Pacific, between North America and Asia/Australia. Lemuria is also sometimes referred to as Mu, or the Motherland (of Mu). At its peak of civilization, the Lemurian people were both highly evolved and very spiritual. While concrete physical evidence of this ancient continent may be difficult to find, many people “know” that they have a strong connection to Lemuria.

71,933 BC: Lemuria is founded as a collective colony. Many of these races decided “Ok, let’s just pool our resources.” And they moved their Edens (edens are bascically a bio-dome on land which is terra-formed, i.e. climatically adjusted for optimum conditions for both plants and animals inside of it) to a continent in the Pacific.

Those star nations were:

Lyrans

Sirius A

Pleiades: races from, Teygeta and Merope specifically.

The idea of Mu first appeared in the works of Augustus Le Plongeon (1825-1908), after his investigations of the Maya ruins in Yucatan. He claimed that he had translated the ancient Mayan writings, which supposedly showed that the Maya of Yucatan were older than the later civilizations of Greece and Egypt, and additionally told the story of an even older continent. Le Plongeon actually got the name “Mu” from Charles Etienne Brasseur de Bourbourg who in 1864 mistranslated what was then called the Troano Codex using the de Landa alphabet. Brasseur believed that a word that he read as Mu referred to a land submerged by a catastrophe[citation needed]. Le Plongeon then identified this lost land with Atlantis, and turned it into a continent which had supposedly sunk into the Atlantic Ocean:

“In our journey westward across the Atlantic we shall pass in sight of that spot where once existed the pride and life of the ocean, the Land of Mu, which, at the epoch that we have been considering, had not yet been visited by the wrath of Homen, that lord of volcanic fires to whose fury it afterward fell a victim. The description of that land given to Solon by Sonchis, priest at Sais; its destruction by earthquakes, and submergence, recorded by Plato in his Timaeus, have been told and retold so many times that it is useless to encumber these pages with a repetition of it”.

Le Plongeon claimed that the civilization of ancient Egypt was founded by Queen Moo, a refugee from the land’s demise. Other refugees supposedly fled to Central America and became the Mayan

Some believe that Atlantis and Lemuria were around partially at the same time and that the more scientific-rational group inhabited Atlantis, and Lemuria had more individuals that were more artistically and spiritually inclined. Also it’s believed that large-scale experiments which took place in Atlantis caused the eventual destruction of both civilizations because of dramatic geo-physical dislocations.

Anglo-American explorer, James Churchward was a close friend of Alice Le Plongeon. James Churchward, in books such as The Lost Continent of Mu (1931), wrote that the Motherland stretched from the Hawaiian Islands to Fiji and from Easter Island to the Marianas.

Churchward wanted an ancient civilization of his own, and using Le Plongeon’s doubtful methodology set about ‘discovering’ one. His findings were set down in the five main volumes of the Mu series published in from 1926 - 1931.

The basic premise was by studying various ancient texts Churchward had discovered the existence of a long lost continent with an advanced civilization that approximately 60,000 years earlier had sunk below the Pacific Ocean after a cataclysmic earthquake. Sixty-four million people allegedly died. The Hawaiian Islands and the Pacific Islands are the remaining mountain peaks of the lost continent.

Possible Evidence of Lemuria:

The Lemurian experience began with the projection of 144 soul groups - representing the projection of 33 million souls. They came from the Pleiades and Sirius projecting into physical form on Earth. Some groups chose water, some the plant kingdom, the mineral kingdom, or the animal kingdom. The greater experiments were with the animal kingdom as this realm allowed for longer life spans and greater mobility. The Earth had interesting species at that time which included giants.

When Lemuria fell the souls went on to become the Atlanteans

People are generally interested in returning to the more peace-loving society that existed in Mu. Some are curious about the beliefs of ancient Lemurians. It appears that many on the list would like to bring us back to a kind of Lemurian utopia now. Because of all of this, there is a lot of posting of material that is sprititually-oriented. There is a sub-group that is trying to live the “Lemurian Way”. There also is some channeled material that is presented. Some feel that they have lived lives as Lemurians and are just waking up to it in this incarnation. There is also a lot of New Age material distributed in this vein.

Many are interested in the archeological findings about Mu, and what kind of technology they had. It is said that they had very advanced, non-polluting technology and of course, many of us are keenly interested in its discovery and use again in the modern world.
